Common questions

Is it free?

Yes. Groups, trips, trip money, settle up, personal expenses and Quick Split are free. Premium, an optional subscription in the Android and iOS apps, adds AI receipt scanning and translation.

Does it use live exchange rates?

No. When you log a bill in another currency, it suggests a rate, refreshed daily, that you can change. The bill keeps the amounts you confirmed.

Does it hold my money?

No. SplitExpenZ records who paid and who owes whom, and you settle up outside the app. It never holds, moves or collects money.

Do friends need an account for a quick split?

No. Share the Quick Split link, and anyone who has it can add expenses and see the balances in a browser without signing up.
